Mufti and Wheels Day 13th June 2012
These are the images of our four houses that will be transferred to the flags that are currently being made by Adams Flags.
Our aim is to fly the flag of the house that is currently winning the house competition - at the moment we think it is the Lynn Lions!
Thank you very much for your $2 donation at Mufti day on Wednesday! All money raised goes towards these house flags.
There is also going to be a BBQ put on by the Gold Netball team to raise money for new Netball dresses.
Have a great time in your mufti and on your wheels!!

On the 14th May the school councilors went to the National Young Leaders Day. You may be wondering what that is. Well its a group of children around Otago who have shown leadership skills and they all get together and get taught how to be really good leaders.
At 9.05 17 school councilors met outside the Regent Theatre for a day of laughs and fun. We listened to five amazing guest speakers who had each achieved remarkable things.
Our first guest speaker was Nick Tuitasi. He taught us what s.p.a.r.k stanks for S - shaken, P - pushed, A - anger, R - Risk, K - kick start. He also told us about his many exciting and dangerous experiences in the police force. He is Auckland legend and was voted one of the top 100 New Zealanders of the century!
Our second speaker was Josh Emett. He is a judge on Masterchef. He has recently opened up a restaurant in Queenstown. he worked with Gordan Ramsey for 11 years in London. We enjoyed hearing about his childhood life on the family farm and the exciting adventures he's been on in his life!
Our third guest speaker was kiwi musician and motivational speaker James Beck. He shared with us his interesting childhood stories and embarrassing moments. He told us that it is okay to try new things.
Our fourth guest speaker was Sheryl Scanlan. She told us about her life style as a Silver Fern. She told us what its like to be a professional netball player - she practises 10 times a week! So as you can see being a leader really does take time and effort.
Our last guest speaker was James Blake - son of Sir Peter Blake. He relived his taxing adventure of sailing across the Tasman Ocean in 54 days. He told us that sometimes its fun to do the impossible.
So as you can see we had a lot of fun. We also played many games and at the end there was a glow in the dark disco. But the best thing of all was the inspiration and leadership skills we learned. So make a difference dig deep and spark your potential! Enjoy our slideshow of photos!
